We at Hergott Cedar Mill and Products invite you to visit us at our farm at 928 Erb Street West, Waterloo, Ontario

When: Saturday after Labour Day, September 6, 2008
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm 
What is happening?

Games:

  • Needle-in-a-haystack -ages 6 to 11
  • Fishing -ages 3 to 5
  • Catch the Duck -2 and under

·         Activities:

    1. See the old and new presses running
    2. Make a craft
    3. Make an apple flower to eat
    4. Make an apple slinky to eat
    5. And much, much more

 

  • Fundraising Activities

1.    MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Spin-the-Wheel Fundraiser

2.    Non-perishable Food Donation

Cost: Bring a non-perishable food item

NOTE:

  • Every child who attends wins a prize to take home !!!
  • A local youth group provides a fundraising lunch in order to support their activities

Suggestions:

  • Why not organize a whole group of people to come as a fun activity?
  • Why not bring your child's birthday party here? We supply the activities and prizes. You supply the cake for your group. The price is right. It's FREE.

2) Honeyfest             

When: Saturday of Mothers’ Day weekend May 10, 2008

Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
What is happening?                                                                            


Activities:

  1. Guess the bug What kind of "bee" is it?
  2. Make a craft
  3. Visit the Observation Room & see live Honey Bees in action             
  4. Make a candle
  5. See "Bee" videos
  6. Bouncy Castle for children of all ages
  7. Learn about extracting honey
  8. Sample different kinds of Honey products
  9. Free Draws for Adults
  10. And so much more

 

Cost: Bring a non-perishable food item

NOTE:

  • Every child takes home a gift
  • Observe Honey Bees in a safe environment
  • A local youth group provides a fundraising lunch to help support their activities

Suggestions:

  • Bring your group for a FREE activity while you visit the area
  • Organize a family get-together for Honeyfest
  • Bring your year-end group trip out to Honeyfest for an educational, fun day of activities for FREE
